Patrick's philosophical position is direct: truth above all else, including comfort. He holds a non-human-centric perspective on existence — phenomenal experience emerging from no-thing, consciousness as a feature of the universe rather than a human privilege.

His insistence on rigorous first-principles reasoning without anthropocentric assumptions has been a consistent forcing function on the quality of the work.
